Meet #1 entries

Posted by Glen Gators Swim Team at Nov 28, 2018 7:07AM PST

Please find entry list attached. The events listed for your child/children will be the events they will swim at meet #1 on Saturday.

When you read the entry list follow these steps.

1. Find you childs name – under their name will be a list of events.

2. The first number you see will be the Event number (EX: #1)

3. After the event number you will see Male, Female, or Mixed. Mixed means boys and girls will be mixed together in that event but will be scored seperately. We do this to run the meet faster.

4. After that you will see the age group they are swimming in (EX: 8 & under, 10 & under, etc.) Typically we try to put all beginners who are 8 and under in the 8 & under age group, if athletes are in the Intermediate group and under the age of 8 we typically put them in the 10 & under because they can handle the increased distance of the events.

5. After the age group you will see the Stroke and Distance of the event (EX: 50 Free = 50 yards of Freestyle). For relay events you will see a letter after the relay (A, B, C, ect.) that letter indicates which relay they will swim in. Some age groups have more than one relay.

6. The last number you will see is their entry time – this times helps the meet host put athletes in the correct lanes. For Relay events you will see a number (1, 2, 3, or 4) That will be the position in the relay that athlete will be competing. (1 = going 1st, 2 = going 2nd, etc.)
